ATCHISON, KS – The Benedictine College Ministry Team is set for its biggest event of the year.

Students will have to opportunity to engage in service missions in the Atchison community by assembling care packages for the homeless.

Grace Flynn, a junior and first year member of the service team, the group has tried to make it easy for students to participate.

“They can go to the Nest to use Raven dollars or dining dollars to buy supplies through the Nest,” Flynn said while talking about how students can participate.

Students are also able to donate materials directly, such as food or supplies, to the ministry office.

The ministry team is organizing a reading and craft times for local children at the Atchison library.  This will be held every other Thursday from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. starting Feb. 24.

This week, groups will begin visiting residents at area nursing homes.  This will be held every other Tuesday from 3:55 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. starting February 15.
